Vocational Rehabilitation Services |
|
If your permanent disability restrictions prevent you from performing your
previous job (even on an accommodated basis), you may be eligible for
vocational rehabilitation. Vocational rehabilitation offers the following
services:
 |
Vocational evaluation––to help you determine your
work-related strengths, aptitudes and interests |
 |
Career counseling––to help you consider different vocational
goals or training options, and |
 |
Job readiness training––to help you prepare for a job search
within or outside of Advocate. |
The Disability Council will review your disability and determine if you’re
eligible for the vocational rehabilitation program. If you’ve used all of your
time off available under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and you’re
eligible to participate in the vocational rehabilitation program but do not,
you’ll be considered to have voluntarily ended your employment with Advocate.
As such, you won’t be eligible to continue disability benefits.
